Service forms the backbone of all our company operations; we have far more staff ‘back of house’ than customer facing, unusual in retailing. Most of our new business is achieved by existing customer and manufacturer referrals. Our sales departments have been formed with some of the most experienced business-to-business suppliers of electrical goods.
Various levels of delivery are available. Our own 150 vehicle fleet covers East Anglia comprehensively. The remainder of the country is covered by our preferred external carriers offering next day parcel, next day pallet and 7 day deluxe two man delivery. Some of these additional services may lead to extra charge, which will be discussed at time of quotation.
At TED we strive to offer the very best value, over the years we have built strong relationships with the industries favourite brands. In exchange for our multimillion pound commitment we receive favourable purchasing terms, unfair share of rarer models and end-of-life deals. We rarely sell cheap unknown brands; we prefer to offer big name brands and stand by them.
Our two enormous central warehouses have enough audio visual and kitchen appliances to satisfy over 47 product-hungry shops, 6 depots, leading web sites and the fastest growing trade department in the country. We are very rarely unable to supply a staple item from our own supply, which steals us a lead over many other suppliers.
All of our products are supplied with a standard domestic warranty. Using domestic machines in commercial scenario may result in a reduced or can even invalidate the warranty altogether. We can supply additional optional warranties to guard against faults for most cases.
There is a big price differential between domestic and commercial products. Some businesses do take the view that they would rather buy three or four domestic products for the same price as a one commercial product regularly replacing them on malfunction. Commercial machines have many benefits, not only are they designed to take the extra use but to wash quicker, hotter (if required for cleanliness) keep temperature low for regular door opening etc. Commercial products may be a worth a look, our advisors can discuss the options with you.
During the economic slowdown it is apparent that manufacturers are bringing less product into the country and ‘ticking over’, whilst we endeavour to keep as larger backup stocks as possible, shortages can occur due purely to lack of availability. It is recommended that orders are received with as much advance notice as possible.
